Game of Love ❤️- SIKHI BLOSSOMING!

SIKHI BLOSSOMING!

Often, we underestimate the value of encouraging one person towards Sikhi. At camps or Sikhi events, we may say things like, 'Even if one person changes, that's a success,' do we really believe that? We aim at numbers, rather than quality.

If we realise a camp or an event has inspired one person to take amrit; that in reality, is one family of 4 or 5 coming into Sikhi. The kids will grow up into Sikhi and encourage their kids to follow Sikhi; from here a whole community can be affected.

In Wolverhampton, there was one Gursikh who took amrit and now is part of a family, who run classes and programmes for youth at the Gurdwara Sahib. The children inspired other children, who started to progress in Sikhi and the parents inspired other parents.

This is how Sikhi blossoms. Where does this blossom start? From one person!

It's the duty of us all to be proactive in Gurmat parchaar (spreading Guru's teachings). If we all did our bit individually, Sikhi would have blossomed way more than it has done.

Take steps towards the True Guru and do your bit ji. You might guide one, who might go on to guide, educate and inspire thousands.

Guru Ramdas Ji Says, "Blessed is that mortal being, who shares the Teachings for the good of others."

Game of love đź’š- BUILD A FOREVERLASTING HOUSE!

BUILD A FOREVERLASTING HOUSE!

An elderly Sikh carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house, building business and live a more leisurely life with his wife, enjoying his extended family. He would miss the pay-check but he needed to retire and they could get by.
The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favour. The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career.

When Jasbir Singh (carpenter) finished his work and the builder came to inspect the house, the contractor handed the front-door key to Jasbir.  "This is your house," he said, "my gift to you."

What a shock! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. Now he had to live in the home he had built none too well.

So it is with us. We build our lives in a distracted way, reacting rather than acting, willing to put up less than the best. At important points, we do not give the job our best effort. Then with a shock, we look at the situation we have created and find that we are now living in the house we have built. If we had realized, we would have done it differently.

Think of yourself as the carpenter. Think of your life as the house. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board or erect a wall, build wisely. It is the only life you will ever build. Even if you live it for only one day more. Each day deserves to be lived graciously, in tune with the love of Vaheguroo's name and Gurbaani (Gurus Teachings). So we can create our true dignity in the house we reside in (our body). Let's liberate our soul from within this house, by living virtuously through selfless service and meditation on Naam (gods name). Let's control the thieves (minds desires), who are plundering our Saintly home.

The plaque on the wall says, "Life is a do-it-yourself project, do it to the best of your ability. So the Guru can liberate us by merging us with Vaheguroo."

Guru Arjun Dev Ji Says, "Nanak builds his house upon that site, where there is no death, no birth, and no old age."

Game of love đź’›- ONE DAY I DECIDED TO QUIT!

ONE DAY I DECIDED TO QUIT!

My relationship, my spirituality… I wanted to quit my life. I went to the woods to have one last talk with Vaheguroo (God)

...

“Vaheguroo” I asked, “Can you give me one good reason not to quit?” His answer surprised me… “Look around,” He said. “Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"

“Yes,” I replied. “When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant, green covered the floor yet nothing came from the bamboo seed but I did not quit on the bamboo.

In the second year, the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful and again, nothing came from the bamboo seed but I did not quit on the bamboo, he said,

“In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit. In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would not quit,” he said.

“Then in the fifth year, a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern, it was seemingly small and insignificant…But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall. It had spent five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge they could not handle.”

He asked me, “Did you know my child that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots. I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you. Don’t compare yourself to others,” he said.

”The bamboo had a different Purpose than the fern yet they both make the forest beautiful. Your time will come,” Vaheguroo said to me. “You will rise high.”

“How high should I rise?” I asked.

“How high will the bamboo rise?” He asked in return.

“As high as it can?” I questioned.

”Yes,” he said, “Give Me glory by rising as high as you can," said Vaheguroo!

Don't Ever Give Up! Guru Sahib ji will always look after you. We think he's not there but he's always watching us grow. We grow according to our past karma, some grow faster than others. We are his loving children. Don't compare yourself to others, we are on our journey and they are on theirs. We all have a personal relationship with Guru Ji. Make it a strong one by following his teachings.

Guru Arjun Dev Ji Says, "At the very last moment, God becomes the mortal's Help and Support; here and hereafter, Vaheguroo is my Savior."

Game of love đź’ś- AGE OF DARKNESS

AGE OF DARKNESS

Bhai Mardhana saw a man, wrapped up in a shawl with holes in it. He asked him, who he was. He said, "I am Kaljug (the age of darkness), I make people lust with these eyes and eat/talk filth with this toungue. I control all their senses."

Bhai Mardhana said, "You can only do that to the weak, who have no control over their minds, as they have no Naam meditation to control their senses and thoughts."

Bhai Mardhana then noticed lots of holes in his shawl and asked, "Why have you got so many holes in your shawl?"

Kaljug replied, "Just like you said, I tried to control the minds of those that meditated on Naam but they pierced through me as though I never existed. This is the reason I have these holes in my shawl."

Vaheguroo!

The mind is very weak, it is controlled by the mind's desires (maya/kaljug). Kaljug is the state of our mind, we need to revert it back to Satjug (the age of truth and true love for Vaheguroo). The only substance which can control and conquer this filthy mind is the Name of God. Repetition of the Name, replaces all thoughts and purifies our senses. One's mind becomes balanced and controlled by the True Guru's teachings of Naam Meditation. Then, the eyes only begin to see God in all, the ears only yearn to hear positive and listen to Vaheguroo's praises, and the tongue only loves to speak positive, Praise God and their Creation. All negativity disappears from within.

Guru Amardas Ji Says, "The True Guru is imbued with the Naam, the Name of God; He is the boat in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga."
