1. Major protests in Punjab as BJP chased out of towns. Jallundhar, Phagwara, Hoshiarpur, Bhatinda see BJP workers fleeing from farmers. 

2. In Mukerian, Hosiarpur, BJP4 india were holding an event. Farmers chased them across fields. Police unable to jump a wall to stop it. 

3. A group of BJP leaders in Punjab's Phagwara had to slip out from the backdoor on Friday after farmers protesting the central government's new farm laws picketed a hotel that they were holding an event in. Demonstrators from the Bharti Kisan Union (Doaba) protested at the hotel where the BJP leaders were observing the birth anniversary of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Friday.

4. A letter has been sent to centre highlighting modalities to repeal the 3laws and 2 ordinances. Clear cut discussion on the agenda will be done. We never asked for amendments.

5. Meeting with govt to be held on 29th at 11am. Govt is still to respond to the letter. 

6. Shares in Ambani Reliance fall by 16%. 

7. American Farmers Get Support Of $7253 Per Year. Indian Farmers Get Support Of Only $49 and Modi claims it as a huge victory. 

8. Airtel Added 3.67 Million Users In October, Beats Reliance Jio And Vodafone. Should be significantly more in December. 

9. Ambani complains in writing to Punjab govt for police action against farmers who disconnected 200 Jio towers in Punjab. According to Punjab Tribune, Jio lost 5-10 crore in 3 day’s. Punjabis have nearly 1.70 crore Jio mobile connections. Company has around 9 thousand towers in Punjab.

10. In Punjab, Announcements are being made from loudspeakers of Gurudwaras telling people to port their Jio mobile numbers to other companies. Decision of such announcements is not taken by Gurudwaras or Gurudwara Committees but by Villagers. Just because Gurudwaras have good Public addressing system, Villagers use Gurudwara’s loudspeakers for making major announcements.

11. In Punjab’s Taran Taran area, Power supply of 30 more towers have been cut off by farmers. President of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh committee Sukhwinder Singh Sabra said that in next few days power supply to all Jio towers of district will be cut off.

12. Punjab Tribune article - In Raikot, Farmers had cut off power supply but administration resumed the power supply forcing people to protest on the roads. Farmers ended the protest on road when administration cut off power supply. 

13. LokRai events happening in protest, when farmers brainstorm and discuss their future and network with each other. 

14. Union leader from Karnataka said that protests have been going on in Karnataka since September. He thanked Punjab and Haryana for taking the lead.

15. Vipin Patel, a farmer leader from Gujarat said that he was detained from 12-15 December. He said Narendra Modi should open borders of Gujarat to see how many farmers stand with him. Why is police detaining people? 

16. Ranbir singh from RJ said that farmers from RJ are sitting at Shahjahanpur. He thanked people for reliance boycott and also said that Adani’s products need to be boycotted too. He said that more farmers are coming in to Shahjahanpur.

17. Shiv Kumar Kaka said that PM lied so many times yesterday. He said that govt submitted affidavit in 2015 that c2+50 cannot be implemented. Why is Pm fooling people? He said that all people PM addressed were employees of pesticide companies not farmers.

19. Farmers to hold tractor march on Kundli-Manesar-Palwal highway on Dec 30 in protest against Centre's agri laws. We request people from Delhi and other parts of country to come and celebrate New Year with protesting farmers: Union leader Darshan Pal.

Old video surfaces of Navjit Singh Sidhu listing billions in deals that Modi gave Ambani and Adani on foreign visits, sometime their have billions of bank loans cleared so no repayments needs to be made, others are billions of defense deals.  Navjot Sidhu shows the massive corruption between Modi, Ambani and Adani.

FARMERS UPDATE 25/12/20

Latest developments - with 25 updates. Thursday 25th Dec : Be Informed, Be Active.


1. Bhagwant Maan holds banners and shouts slogans in favour of farmers as Modi walks past. 

2. Huge contingent of farmers with approx 500 trolleys from Bazpur and other areas of UP has reached Hapur. They had to use a tractors to break through barricades. Delhi isn’t very far now. 

3. Barricades installed at Shahjahanpur border. The farmers have been sitting at this border for 13days and it was decided to move to Delhi today. Containers and barricades are installed on the highway making it more or less like Singhu and Tikri. 

4. India's prime minister releases $2.5 billion as part of a program for small farmers continuing a monthlong protest against new farm laws. It’s sounds like a lot of money, but works out to £60 per farmer for losing their generational land. It’s part of divide and rule policy to show public that Modi is for the farmer. 

5. NDTV show a lot of this money gone into accounts which have no link to farmers. 

6. Modi, Amit Shah and Rajnath, all speak at rallies today to convince BJP workers that they are with farmers. 

7. Narendra Modi to address farmers from 6 States today. These are states that are not protesting as farming is so low in them states. Observers say it’s just divide and rule and photo ops to convince middle class that modi is trying to solve the situation. 

8. The borders Singhu, Pyau Maniri, Palwal, Tikri, Chilla, Shahjahanpur remain closed. 

9. Protests continue in Punjab in all cities and villages. 

10. Uttar Pradesh Farmer leader Rakesh Tiket said to a large rally in UP - ′′ The people of the Mandhir are also having Gurdwaras langar, they should also plant bhandara! (Open they money accounts and give food to protestors). Mandhirs have more money, so why are they not feeding the protestors too. The people of UP are shouting Vaheguru ji ka Khalsa Vaheguru ji ke Fateh. He continued to say where are the Pundits to support the farmers? If they do not come, we will remember and they will get treatment for that. 

11. Villages Panchayats have now cut power to 200 Jio mobile towers belonging to Ambani in Punjab. 

12. A seven member committee will be formed to make plans for talking to Centre. The committee includes Darshan Pal, Rajewal, Gurnaam Chaduni, Yogendra Yadav and Shiv Kumar kaka among suggested names.

13. Due to govt holidays over next few day’s, no formal meetings to be held, so farmers will spend more day’s in icy cold. 

14. In Jallundhar, the protesting farmers who were doing gherao of BJP Punjab ministers were lathi charged. 5-7 farmers are injured. Scenes of BJP workers being chased off and police attacking sikhs. 

15. Today in Bathinda, the Farmers gave a blow to the BJP. Beaten in the bazaar, the BJP men fled leaving tents and belongings

1. Sikh elder Darshan Singh passed away today after falling off a tractor trolley. 

2. Recitation of Vahiguru is happening every Amritvela many are feel bliss of Sikhi. Hundreds sitting in groups doing Saas Giraas simran. 

3. Karma has a way of catching up with those with bad intentions. Haryana Chief Minister Kattar who used police to attack Farmers at the beginning of the protests. Yesterday his car was surrounded and shaken up by locals in Haryana. Police had to rescue his car to escape. 

4. Today BJP MP Rajinder Goonda was pelted by stones as large numbers of villagers from his own village attacked his vehicle. Video appears of his cars speeding as they are surrounded by his neighbours. 

5. Haryana CM Kattar files a case of attempted murder against farmers showing black flags to him in Haryana. 

6. Punjabi Tribune Investigation. Punjab’s politicians are benefiting from Reliance’s mobile towers. Many Akali Leaders gave their lands for Jio towers. They are getting an income of 20k. 

7. Many village panchayats complaining that village land were used for Jio towers without their consultation. 

8. In February last year, Govt of India had approved the privatization of 6 airports in India: Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Mangaluru, Thiruvananthapuram and Guwahati. When bidding was taking place Adani group was not meeting the criteria for bidding as it had no previous experience. So within days, the criteria was changed and Adani was awarded all 6 airports. This is how Modi rewards those who fund BJP. 

9. Hundreds of Gurdaspur villagers stop construction of warehouses of Adani group. They said no construction will continue until farmer issue is not resolved. 

10. Student leader Kanaiya Kumar speaks at a mass gathering in favour of farmers.

The group of 40 protesting farmers’ unions, which earlier participated in talks with the Centre, unanimously decided on Tuesday to respond to its proposal for further talks on Wednesday, marked across the country as ‘Kisan Diwas’, and reiterate their demand of repeal of the three new agri laws.

1. Farmers watch movie Chaar Sahibzade on open air cinemas. Hot soup given out by MLSS sevadaars during movie.

2. Safer-e-Shaadat now being shown to farmers.

3. Farmers have blocked the Ghaziabad- Delhi Border. They moved quickly and police were unable to stop them.

4. RSS-BJP's hardliner chief minister Yogi Adityanath started police attacking on UP farmers. Pictures emerge of injured Sikhs.

5. Despite significant attacks in them Sikh farmers in Uttar Pradesh break through the police barriers.

6. Baltej Pannu, a Punjab journalist, said that so many farmers at the border are being well looked after etc and said the offers from abroad to send money etc is good. However more impactful would be for NRI’s to give one year free of land rent (tekha) which will free the farmer to protest and pay off bills etc and will have a massive impact towards the government

18. India government pushing crony’s to come on TV to support the bills. One is Surjit bhalla, IMF India Executive Director. He is said these are rich farmers protecting abnormal profits. Farmers reacting angrily saying if we were rich we would not be sleeping in freezing cold in our trolleys.

23. We finish with the story of a poor Labourer from Bihar. He cycled 4 days to the delhi morcha. When asked what inspired him to come, he said that Guru Nanak’s Sangat is here and I want darshan of it. He left his job just to be part of this Sangat. Sikhs said they will give him a lift, he said no which getting emotional, he wants to cycle to Guru Nanak Dev ji.

1. Bhai Harminder Singhs passes away in the Morcha.

2. Ardas done at Siri Darbar Sahib Amritsar for the farmers morcha success.

3. Sikh Kirtani and preachers will hold events at Singhu and Tikri Border in memory of Guru Gobind Singh’s sons on 23 and 26-27 December.

4. Farmers remember supreme sacrifice of Chotte Sahibzadas and other Singhs.

5. Uttar Pradesh police has stopped 600 trolleys with UP farmers from getting to Delhi. They are stuck in Muradabad, UP. Farmers have been attacked by police. DSGPC said the police broke the arm of one of their sikh sevadaar.

6. Punjab BJP uses poster of actor, director, producer, photographer Harp Farmer (Harpreet Singh) in pro-Farm-Bills poster. He is sitting at Singhu border and has been posting content supporting and praising Farmers Protest. He calls BJP besharam. NDTV covers the story.

7. Agriculture minister Tomar embarrassed in Rajya Sabha when an opposition MP argues against the 3 laws then says to Tomar that you are a son of a farmer. I do not think you wrote these 3 laws, it’s as if they were written and handed to you to pass.

8. Deep Sidhu on video saying the govt has selected the most expensive lawyer in India to argue on its behalf in Supreme Court. Why would the govt do that unless that lawyer is getting paid by someone else.

9. Haryana Chief Minister Kattar is getting heckled by public at all events he is doing. Hundreds circle his car and shake it. Police just save him. He quickly speeds off.

10. More roads to delhi blocked today. The borders leading to Delhi from tikri, Singhu, pyau Manini, Chilla, Ghazipur, palwal, Shahjahanpur (partial) are closed. However protestors allow ambulances and poor to get through as they are compassionate.

11. Delhi Police Commissioner said they are prepared if they need to clear the farmers.

FARMERS UPDATE 21/12/20

Latest developments - with 25 updates. Monday 21st Dec : Be Informed, Be Active.

1. Bhai Hakim Singh Balad Kalan, who was constantly serving in the protests passed away due to ill health during the Delhi Morcha.

2. Farmer Niranjan Singh of village Bhathal Bhaike of Taran Taran ate poison on Singhu border, Rohtak sent PGI for treatment, got suicide note too. This is not effective way of protesting and against sikhi. Please stop naive farmers doing this.

3. Hardworking activist Manpreet Singh Littan and his family members were returning from Delhi when a road accident took place near Rajpura this morning.

4. Narendra Modi will hold talks with different farmer groups from UP on 25th December. These are not the groups that are protesting. BJP sources say that Narendra Modi will be celebrating Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary by talking to different farmers. This is just more photo opportunities. In previous ones in last feed days, BJP said they farmers, but afterwards, they turned out to be BJP activists. Aim is just to show Godhi media that he is engaging the farmers, when in reality he is not engaging them at all.

5. 3000 farmers are headed to Delhi from Nashik under AIKS. The farmers will be joined by another contingent of 7000 at Chandvad.

6. Teams of sikh youth went from Singhu border morcha site to the Tikri morcha to help clean up the site.

7. A blood donation camp was put up at Singhu for the third time in 25 days.

8. Punjabi youngsters have opened second branch of their group ‘Satth’ to provide free library service, newspapers, school and place for discussion. First one was at Singhu border.

11. Farmers are switching off power supplies to Reliance Jio Towers in Punjab. They will fall back on batteries and then to generators but with no one refueling the generators, the Jio network becomes dysfunctional.

1. A 22-year-old Punjab farmer, Gurlabh Singh, a resident of Dayalpura Mirza village of Bathinda district, who returned from a protest site near Delhi border, has allegedly committed suicide after consuming some poisonous substance, the police said on Sunday.

2. In the last 10 days, Facebook has disabled personal accounts of more than a dozen leading journalists in India without any warning or notice and without offering any credible reasons.

3. Keyword "Sikh" is blocked for Twitter Ads whereas "Hindu" is not.

4. Kisan Mazdoor Ekta now has its own YouTube channel and social media IT department. YouTube has 368,000 subscribers in 3 days.

1. A sad news from Tikri Border, another farmer named Jai Singh has passed away due to cardiac arrest. Farmer Jai Singh has three children, aged 14, 12, 10 years old.

1. 3 sikhs died today. Sardar Gurmeet Singh passed away today.

2. Sad news coming in from Mansa. A farmer Gurdev Singh Of village Khara has committed suicide by throwing himself under train near track at Narinderpura. He was debt ridden since years & was losing land in return for money. He was left with 2 acre out of 20 acre.

3. Baba Ram Singh Nanaksar shot himself at Singhu border at around 04:30pm. This is another aspect of Singhu border which is not seen amidst the noise of stage, and atmosphere of energy. This incident has led to alot of discussion in the community of the manner of death. Some calling it a sacrifice, others stating mental health issues are increasing in people, as no one wants to protest, but circumstances are forcing them to.

4. A group of farmers from Punjab's Anandpur Sahib has started an 'informal school' in a makeshift tent for local slum children at the Singhu border. 1. 5 farmers died today . A farmers trolley heading to village Safera (Patiala) from Delhi met with an accident early this morning on GT road near Travri Haryana. Two farmers Laabh Singh & Gurpreet singh died on the spot & many others are injured. One in critical condition.

2. Another accident was reported near village Bhago Majra, Kharar in Mohali area. Two farmers- Sukhdev Singh and Deep Singh - succumbed to injuries in the accident.

3. Another farmer Makhan Khan from village Bhinder Kalan has passed away. He had no land but was active in farmers protests since August according to Sarpanch Jagseer Singh Of village. Makhan Khan used to sell milk, he had 3cows.

4. ASSOCHAM (Associated Chambers Of Commerce Of India) has called for early resolution of farmers' issues, stating “farmers' protest resulting in a daily loss of Rs 3500 crores”.

1. Sikh farmer Bhai Balbir Singh passed away today.

2. A few protestors protest outside Attila, the house of Mukesh Ambani. They were shouting slogans and had a banner. Ambani security got them, took their personal details including addresses. Then let them go later on in the day.

3. Govt is ready to play farmer vs farmer card and Punjab vs Haryana card. Yesterday, Agriculture minister Narendra Tomar met 29 farmer leaders from Haryana, but not Punjab.

4. Divide and rule policy that are trying to create is that only Punjab has an issue, but rest of india is fine. This is far from the truth.

1. Capt Amrinder met Mukesh Ambani a day before the farmer protestors did the national Bandh. Aam Aadmi Party accuse Capt Amrinder signed an short term electricity contract of Punjab handing it to Ambani group.

2. However then Capt Amrinder posted a video on a Twitter praising the farmers in the national Bandh.

3. Rain has been making conditions difficult. Last night was freezing cold. Farmers sitting at the protest are fighting a multi-front battle. They are up against an insensitive Govt, misinformation campaigns by Godhi media, rough winter weather and the 2 most powerful billionaires of India.

4. Sardar Hakam Singh Ji from village Kheri Chahlan who had gone to Delhi Protest on 24th. He passed away today.

5. Modi has no time to speak to farmers, but goes to the hospital where Ambanis grandchild is born to congratulate the family.

6. 200 vehicles bringing new Sangat from Punjab arrived and others go back. The Sangat is on a rotation system so we have stamina for a long protest if necessary.

7. The collective leadership model of this protest is working, rotating speakers, changing who takes charge on a given day. Govt doesn’t know who to arrest because they don’t know who’s in charge at any one point.

1. A 32-year-old farmer who was protesting at the Delhi-Haryana border died due to hypothermia in cold weather. Ajay More, from Sonipat. Ajay is survived by his elderly parents, wife and three children.

2. Shaheed Bibi Gurmel Kaur who passed away 2 days ago at morcha. Her strong heart gave out at the protest site. She was 70. Her elder son was a farmer who committed suicide because he was under a debt of Rs 5 lakhs. Her younger son is taking care of his late brother’s family while carrying the earlier debt of Rs 5 lakhs plus another one of Rs 8 lakh all while his 70 year old mother was protesting for their livelihood.

3. Bar Council of Delhi has written a letter to PM Modi requesting for the immediate withdrawal of the 3 laws (Farm Bills) pertaining to farmers and to give an audience to the leaders of the farmers in order for an amicable solution. The letter states that the laws will invariably and substantially damage District Courts in particular and "uproot the lawyers".

1. Amit Shah continues divide and rule policy. He has meeting some farmer leaders while has others arrested. Farmers rejected Govt proposal and reiterated demand of repeal of farm laws. They call boycott of Ambani owned Reliance business establishments and products including Jio sim. Siege of District headquarters across India on 14th of December. Protests will continue. Jaipur-Delhi highway will be blocked either before 12 of Dec or on 12 Dec. Siege of homes of BJP leaders.

2. Mewa Singh, a middle aged man passed away at the morcha.

3. Video appears showing many army trucks move to morcha from Ludhiana area.

4. Indian media reluctantly admits that significant areas of India observed the nationwide shutdown yesterday.

5. All national unions showed solidarity with farmers and observed the shutdown. Yoginder Yadav said it takes months to organize a national Bandh, the fact that farmers did it in 4 days shows the sympathy the public has with them despite media bias.

1. Today at elder Mata Gurmel Kaur passes away at the protest. Bhai Seva Singh passed away aswell. Both were front line.

2. National Bharat Band. Various highways closed for 4 hours.

3. Police attack peaceful protesters in Chandigarh. Water canons and brutal behaviour from police. No care for women or elders. Many protestors injured.

4. Opposition parties come out in favour of farmers.

5. Govt trying to use divide measures in talks. Govt messed around farmers today and had separate meetings in different places, cancelling meetings at short notice so that all farmer reps wouldn’t attend certain meetings.. trying to divide them against each other. Amit Shah came today and still asking for amendments. After meeting the govt didn’t allow farmers to talk to press, and drove them away. Famers have a internal meeting tomorrow to decide next course of action.
